La Propuesta Regulatoria tiene como objetivo fortalecer la normativa y fomentar la aplicación uniforme de los criterios contables y prudenciales; realiza ajustes de redacción de algunos artículos de las disposiciones relacionados con la estimación de la Probabilidad de Incumplimiento y la Severidad de la Pérdida en las operaciones de crédito, así como en los que se establece el procedimiento para el uso de garantías como mitigantes de riesgo, con lo cual se buscan eliminar ambigüedades, mejorar la precisión técnica en el uso de conceptos clave y alinear el lenguaje normativo con la lógica operativa de las entidades sujetas a regulación.

The Regulatory Proposal aims to strengthen regulations and promote the uniform application of accounting and prudential criteria; it makes wording adjustments to some articles of the provisions related to the estimation of the Probability of Default and the Severity of Loss in credit operations, as well as those that establish the procedure for the use of guarantees as risk mitigators, thereby seeking to eliminate ambiguities, improve the technical precision in the use of key concepts and align the regulatory language with the operational logic of the entities subject to regulation.
