El Programa Institucional del Instituto de Ecología, A.C. 2025–2030 (PI2025–2030) es un instrumento de planeación interna que orienta el quehacer del Centro Público, el cual goza de autonomía técnica y de gestión para conducir sus actividades con responsabilidad social, en congruencia con el Plan Nacional de Desarrollo 2025–2030 y el Programa Sectorial de Ciencia, Humanidades, Tecnología e Innovación. El Programa establece los objetivos estratégicos, metas e indicadores que guiarán las funciones sustantivas del Instituto en materia de investigación científica, humanística y tecnológica; conservación y estudio de la diversidad biocultural; formación de recursos humanos; innovación; y apropiación social del conocimiento. Su contenido reafirma la libertad de investigación, la producción rigurosa y ética del conocimiento, el diálogo de saberes, la interculturalidad, los derechos humanos y la responsabilidad ambiental, en favor del interés público y de la atención integral de problemáticas nacionales.

The Institutional Program of the Institute of Ecology (INECOL), 2025–2030 (PI2025–2030), is an internal planning instrument that guides the actions of this Public Research Center, which holds technical and managerial autonomy to conduct its activities with social responsibility and in alignment with the National Development Plan 2025–2030 and the Sectoral Program on Science, Humanities, Technology and Innovation. The Program sets forth the strategic objectives, goals, and indicators that will guide the Institute’s substantive functions in scientific, humanistic, and technological research; the conservation and study of biocultural diversity; the training of human resources; innovation; and the social appropriation of knowledge. Its content reaffirms the principles of freedom of research, rigorous and ethical knowledge production, dialogue of knowledge systems, interculturality, human rights, and environmental responsibility, all in favor of the public interest and the comprehensive attention to national challenges.
