This refers to the Resolution on the general and professional minimum wages approved by the Board of Representatives of the National Minimum Wage Commission (Conasami, for its Spanish acronym), which will take effect on January 1, 2026. Conasami is a decentralized public agency of the Federal Government, established by Decree of reforms and additions to the Federal Labor Law (LFT), published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF) on December 31, 1962, as a consequence of the reform to Article 123 of the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States (CPEUM), published in the DOF on November 21, 1962. Its fundamental purpose is to set minimum wages according to the procedure established in Articles 570 to 574 of the LFT. It is composed of a tripartite Board of Representatives, constituted in accordance with Article 554 of the LFT, who have the authority to set the general and professional minimum wages.
