On April 17, 2025, pursuant to Article 6-23 of the Free Trade Agreement between the United Mexican States and the Republic of Colombia, the Committee on Regional Integration of Inputs (CIRI) recommended to the Commission of the Agreement to extend the temporary waiver established in numeral 1 of Decision No. 118 of March 21, 2024, allowing the use of materials produced outside the free trade zone in the manufacture of certain textile and apparel goods to receive preferential tariff treatment. Based on this recommendation and in accordance with Article 6-24 of the Agreement, the Commission adopted on April 25, 2025 Decision No. 123, extending such temporary waiver from May 27, 2025 to May 26, 2026.
