La propuesta de Reforma al Reglamento de la Ley General Desarrollo Forestal Sustentable (LGDFS) considera la actualización de diversos artículos que están relacionados directamente con los términos establecidos en la Reforma de la referida Ley en 2022 para estar en concordancia y que tiene una relación directa con la Sección II Plantaciones Forestales Comerciales del Reglamento. Dentro de la propuesta de Reforma se considera la eliminación de la distinción de plantaciones por superficie, quedando un solo trámite para cualquier plantación forestal comercial (PFC). Los requisitos para el registro de las PFC establecidas con anterioridad a la LGDS, serán los mismos que para las plantaciones nuevas. El registro para estas PFC deberán presentar el aviso previsto en el artículo 65 del Reglamento en un plazo de seis meses previos de iniciar el aprovechamiento de la plantación.

The proposed Reform to the Regulations of the General Law of Sustainable Forest Development (LGDS BY IT’s acronym in spanish) considers the updating of various articles of that law that are directly related to the terms established in the Reform of 2022 to be in accordance and that also are directly related with Section II Commercial Forest Plantations of the Regulation. Within the Reform proposal it’s considered the elimination of the distinction of surface plantation, leaving a single procedure for any commercial forest plantation (PFC by its acronym in Spanish). The requirements to register the PFCs established prior to the LGDS would be the same as the ones for new plantations. For the registration of these PFCs must be presented the notice considered in article 65 of the Regulation within a six months period before starting the plantation utilization
