MANUAL DE ORGANIZACIÓN DEL CENTRO DE INVESTIGACIÓN EN CIENCIAS DE INFORMACIÓN GEOESPACIAL, A.C. Con el Manual de Organización, el CentroGeo cuenta con una herramienta normativa para organizar sus tareas y sus recursos y por consiguiente está en mejores condiciones de tomar decisiones y planear, dirigir y controlar los esfuerzos hacia sus metas. Derivado de la transición en cuanto a la Ley General de Ciencia y Tecnología y en cuanto al entonces CONACyT, que pasan a ser Ley General en Materia de Humanidades, Ciencias, Tecnologías e Innovación y Consejo Nacional de Humanidades, Ciencias y Tecnologías (CONAHCYT), respectivamente, surge la necesidad de actualizar las referencias a dicha ley e institución. Asimismo, esta modificación que se somete a la opinión de la sociedad, obedeció principalmente a la búsqueda de atender lo dispuesto en el numeral 31 Bis del ACUERDO por el que se modifican, adicionan y derogan diversos numerales de las Disposiciones en las materias de Recursos Humanos y del Servicio Profesional de Carrera, en el que se establece que el manual de organización deberá contener como mínimo la visión y misión de la Institución, sus antecedentes, marco legal, atribuciones, estructura orgánica, organigrama, así como los objetivos y funciones de sus unidades administrativas. Es importante referir que, con esta actualización, no se modifica en ningún sentido los objetivos del CentroGeo, mismo que continúa adhiriendo sus esfuerzos como Centro Público de Investigación a la atención de problemas nacionales. Es así como el CentroGeo establece sus objetivos prioritarios en su Programa Institucional 2022-2024, conforme a los objetivos prioritarios del Plan Nacional de Desarrollo vigente, como corresponde a su estructura constitutiva en cuanto a la Asociación Civil, Empresa de Participación Estatal Mayoritaria y como Centro Público de Investigación coordinado por el CONAHCYT, que le da referencia internacional en la investigación en las ciencias de información geoespacial. Para mayor abundamiento, el artículo 6 de los Estatutos del CentroGeo, así como el numeral 1 de su Manual de Organización, establecen como objeto de la institución, lo siguiente: I. Realizar actividades de investigación, desarrollo tecnológico e innovación en ciencias de información geoespacial; II. Promover y apoyar a instituciones públicas o privadas que tengan por objeto realizar estudios e Investigaciones relacionadas con el campo antes mencionado; III. Formular, ejecutar e impartir programas para estudios de licenciatura, especialidad, maestría, doctorado y estancias posdoctorales, así como cursos de actualización y especialización de personal en actividades relacionadas con el objeto de la Asociación; IV. Orientar la investigación científica y el desarrollo e innovación tecnológica a la modernización del sector productivo, así como promover y gestionar ante las organizaciones públicas, sociales y privadas, la transferencia del conocimiento; V. Difundir y publicar información técnica y científica sobre los avances que registre en su especialidad, así como de los resultados de las investigaciones y trabajos que realice; VI. Contribuir con el Sistema Nacional de Humanidades, Ciencias, Tecnologías e Innovación a que se refiere la Ley General en materia de Humanidades, Ciencias, Tecnologías e Innovación para asociar el trabajo científico y la formación de recursos humanos de alto nivel al desarrollo del conocimiento y a la atención de las necesidades de la sociedad mexicana; VII. Realizar labores de vinculación con los sectores público, social y privado, y VIII. Colaborar con las autoridades competentes en actividades de promoción de la metrología, el establecimiento de normas de calidad y la certificación en apego a la Ley de la materia.

Promote and support public or private institutions that aim to carry out studies and research related to the aforementioned field; III. Formulate, execute and teach programs for bachelor's, specialty, master's, doctoral and postdoctoral studies, as well as refresher and specialization courses for personnel in activities related to the purpose of the Association; IV. Guide scientific research and technological development and innovation to the modernization of the productive sector, as well as promote and manage the transfer of knowledge before public, social and private organizations; V. Disseminate and publish technical and scientific information about the advances recorded in your specialty, as well as the results of the research and work you carry out; SAW. Contribute to the National System of Humanities, Sciences, Technologies and Innovation referred to in the General Law on Humanities, Sciences, Technologies and Innovation to associate scientific work and the training of high-level human resources with the development of knowledge and attention to the needs of Mexican society; VII.
