Resumen del anteproyecto


El objetivo del Acuerdo es la implementación de la veda temporal para la pesca comercial de atún aleta amarilla (Thunnus albacares), patudo o atún ojo grande (Thunnus obesus), atún aleta azul (Thunnus orientalis) y barrilete (Katsuwonus pelamis) en aguas de jurisdicción federal de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos del Océano Pacífico, así como en altamar y aguas jurisdiccionales extranjeras del Océano Pacífico Oriental (OPO) que se encuentren en el área de regulación de la Comisión Interamericana del Atún Tropical (CIAT) durante los años 2018-2020.

Summary of the draft


The objective of the Agreement is the implementation of the temporary fishing ban of yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares), bigeye tuna (Thunnus obesus), bluefin tuna (Thunnus orientalis) and skipjack (Katsuwonus pelamis) in Mexican waters of federal jurisdiction at the Pacific Ocean, as well as on the high seas and foreign jurisdictional waters of the Eastern Pacific Ocean (OPO) that are in the regulation area of ​​the Inter-American Tropical Tuna Commission (IATTC) during the years 2018-2020 .
