The Mexican National Water Commission (CONAGUA), will issue a general agreement for action to be taken to ensure the supply of domestic and urban public use of water and carry out with the stakeholders, the appropriate actions to achieve de supply. The objective of this agreement is that the Mexican National Water Commission reports on the watersheds councils, in which of them persists the presence of an abnormal situation of drought generated by an extended period at the beginning of 2018, in order to activate the protocol and actions required in those areas to minimize the affectations. The definition of the watersheds where there is drought, is based on the Drought Monitor of Mexico information, member of the North American Drought Monitor. The Drought Monitor of Mexico allows to determine the presence of a period of drought and to characterize its forms as: severe, extreme or exceptional and it also specifies with geographical precision, the watersheds and the municipalities affected. But being this a dynamical phenomenon, information on its evolution can be accessed electronically, and the period of analysis Is for every 15 days, the web site of PRONACOSE is in the following link: https://www.gob.mx/conagua/acciones-y-programas/programa-nacional-contra-la-sequia-monitoreo-de-la-sequia-64594
